Please share your feeling about how we can work together to save our school. Please also email and call all the elected officials listed in the tab "contact elected officials" remember to frame our concerns in a positive and upbeat mindset. It's okay to be angry, and to be passionate about this issue, but in order for our effort to be effective we need to present a message that is clear and concise. The message to get across to the elected officials, the school board, and the Usage Committee is that Martensen Elementary's highest and best use is as a fully functioning local elementary school.
The closure, repurposing, or consolidation of Martensen will be too costly for the county, for the students, for the neighborhood, and there are better alternatives, these alternatives have a greater impact, will impact less students, and will be easier to implement than trying to close this cornerstone of our community.  Closing Martensen is not an option, we need to band together to show the powers that be that this is not an option then can afford to exercise. Share with the elected officials your stories of how and why Martensen is an asset to the county and not a liability.
